Your sharpness and exposure here are excellent, especially with a moving subject. Your composition is good with the bird placed well within the frame and plenty of room ahead of the bird. I would have loved to have seen the bird's head, and your white balance is off with too much of a blue tint in your whites on the bird. This should be easily fixed in Lightroom or Photoshop with the white balance dropper tool.

Thanks so much for your feedback and suggestions. I too really wish I could have seen his head. I was so surprised when he took off, by the time I got a shot that included his head, the focus wasn't great. It's often a lot about luck and timing, right. Thanks again. I'll play around with the white balance.

You have posted quite a grand looking bird shot into the competition, but I am not sure that it contains enough red? Your nice and traditional composition offs us an enjoyable look at your bird and it's location. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

this is beautiful, I love the detail and colour of this delightful bird in its natural setting, the bird stands out in definition against the blue sky, good focus and clarity, I like the natural framing of the branches. good luck in the contest.

Very nice action picture of this beautiful bird in flight! The colors and patterns are sharp and clear. I would've like to see more of his/her face, but all in all beautiful shot!

Thanks so much for the feedback. I SO wish I would have got a shot of his head too. I was so surprised when he took off that when I did get a shot with his head, the wings were out of focus. Often about lucky and timing, right? :) Thanks again.

Used to have a good memory. But, I do not remember who posted this kind of flicker from last week. Image is a little bit blurred. Nice composition and framing. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image
