I wanted to wait until today so I could award this the six it deserves. What an incredible likeness of these two characters. Such a classic and perfect representation of R. Butler and Scarlet from Gone with the wind. Painted so beautifully, this is timeless.
Beautiful and romantic entry for the contest. Detail is over the top. A real pleasure to view this beauty and bet it will do extremely well in the competition.

Oh this absolutely does meet my approval and so much more. I'm a romanticist regardless of outcome and your painting beautifully express this on so many levels. Folds in their costumes, expressions and how you painted them are marvelous. Especially enjoy how you painted the likeness of Vivian Lee and Clark Gable. Harkens also play on words to movies, Splendor in the Grass played by Natalie Wood and George Hamilton. Great Gatsby, Casablanca also come to mind but agree Gone with the Wind my favorite too. Thank You for this beautiful presentation of them-- always--Bunkie

Well done Jeseul, you always do such a fine job capturing the folds and flow of movement in your pieces, superd shadow and light work in your technique, But what is most important here are the expressions you have portrayed on their faces, reflecting what the movie was all about...fine work.

Hi James your painting is amazing. The detail in the bone structure of both characters is superb. I love the shading and the beautifully blended work in the guys suit and tie and the woman's gown. The facial features are expressionistic and truly life like. You are a brilliant artist and the background's soft tones set the scene to perfection. great talent. thanks for sharing. cheers mel

Rhett Butler and Scarlet O'Hara and if THAT isn't the most perfect pair for a Valentine's Day Art contest than I don't know who is James.

So THIS is the one you've been working on and mentioned recently. It is beautiful....and sooo well done. Amazing detail in those faces...both of them just exquisite. Your shading and shadow work especially around the faces may be some of your best work yet. I love the expression on Scarlet's face and the gentle touch of Rhett. The soft pastel color palette of the clothing is perfect and you didn't overpower them w/ your background colors....but kept them soft as well. Also like how the colors are soft enough for the canvas to show through....it gives a wonderful depth to your piece.

One of my very favorite movies too James and you have done just an outstanding job w/ your rendition of the pair. DEFINITELY my very favorite of your pieces....will be looking for it when this contest comes up for a vote. I imagine this one will do REALLY well. Gold star all the way!!!
