I like the simplicity that this painting shows. The bright purple barn stands out perfectly against that tall green grass and trees in the background. You did a fantastic job and you were very creative :) Well done and thanks for sharing :)

Nice effort and composition. I personally would have rather have seen the greenery in the right corner more detailed since it is winning the subject being nature taking over the barn. Good effort. Good luck in the contest.

Although this is simply a barn, there is something about this paint that really caught my eye.
The unusual color is fantastic and the blending in the bottom of this is superb.
It gives it a softness that is beautiful and hard to describe.
Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you, Malmax for your nice review and rating. Thank you for ?getting? this. The grasses are swallowing the barn and the trees and other elements are destroying the man made structure

amongst my favourite programs on tv is Life in Alaska, where I would love to go, Texan women making homes from tin storage vans, and barn rebuilders in USA in which they scour the countryside buying suitable, old barns for their weathered timbers and rebuild them into stunning barns for new owners, so who knows, maybe someone will buy this old purple barn if it has good timbers. All these programs are USA as UK is too manicured for such things. Our builders have to squeeze interesting homes into tiny spaces, make underground toilets abandoned into homes etc. Space and resources are limited here.

Your technique for indicating the land taking over the barn is interesting and effective. I like how you made the barn with a sense of the structure being dilapidated.

I like your interpretation of the man made being overtaken by nature, the purple barn is sinking, great colors and details throughout, it is well created and tells the story of how powerful nature is !

"All that can be created by the hand of man, is temporary and will not last."

Least we forget - everyone of the old, about to return to mother earth, structures were at one time someone's dream. A home of our own, or a new barn for more cattle.

Was this structure purple or is that the artist impression? Either way the color makes the main element stand out and claim our attention - well done.

Excellent blending of the foreground colors. That lends depth and detail to this piece.

The colors have a harmony all their own and is pleasing to the eye.

The dimensions of the house and the surrounding landscape is proportional and life like.

Excellent piece of original art ... B-)) Bob

Thank you, Bob for your nice review and rating. Yes, I made my imaginary barn purple so it would stand out. Thank you for noticing. Also, it was a good color to be swallowed up by the orange and green grasses. It gave the blurring or swallowing effect
