I like the little sparkle the light gives to the icicle and the spiral look as it tapers to the end. This is one heck of an icicle too! I think you found a good contest entry and a dangerous weapon :) Your exposure is very nice.

wow this is certainly a long icicle, I really like the shape
and detail seen in the ice, great focus the icicle pops out from the back ground, good use of light and shadow. great vertical framing. good luck in the contest.
