Perfect capture of this guy's face and the startled and curious expression is great. I like the peeking through the leaves view and the colors of the coat stand out nicely.

wow, stunning photo Lise. what a wonderful shot you have captured. Love the colours of nature surrounding the fawn. His beautiful coat of tan tonings contrasts nicely with the foliage amongst the rocks and I love the leafy branch that is slightly blurred in the foreground. It provides a great frame around the fawn. almost like he has a soft blanket keeping him warm and cosy. The detail on the rocks with the moss and fungi on the surface, adds appeal to your photo. excellent exposure and the lighting is perfect. A well balanced picture with the fawn placed nicely in the centre. Very pleasing to the eye and has a warm embracing emotion running through the scene. thanks for sharing this awesome work. a joy to review. cheers mel. best of luck in the contest.

He is so sweet peeking through the overgrowth. He is practically lost in the surroundings, which in nature he should be. However, I feel you should eliminated a lot of the surround rock/leaves, leaving just those that form a frame around him. Besides, there is something funny that the top center, which looks like some kind of cloning error.

Well that for me would be impossible,,,he is in the bush after all,,I would have to take all of the surrounding out,,dont understand what the funny thing your talking about,,the branches I am looking through were blurred by the camera so the focus was strictly on him,

A beautiful capture of this lovely fawn. The colors stand out and are crisp between the soft focus of the leaves.
I like the slight glimpse of the fawn looking your way,
perfectly framed by nature.
I think this makes for a wonderfully delicate view of this beautiful animal.
Best of luck in the competition.
