This is just too adorable Fred! You need to frame this one. That reflected smile she is giving is so sweet. The ornate design of the mirror frame is also nice and matched the color of her outfit well too!

I actually never knew that about the sayings, probably because I have never read the Grimm brothers version. Anyway, it is the perfect title for this image. Little Stella looks adorable here as she gazes at the mirror. I like the angle of the photo a lot. This is a fun and creative way to show off your granddaughter. Well done and thanks for sharing with us :)

Fred,
Another cyber SIX for this wonderful picture of your beloved little Granddaughter Stella admiring her reflection in the mirror & maybe watching you too? Methinks in your & her eyes she IS the most beautiful of ALL?
Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Susan

Haha a lovely homage to one of the most famous (and slightly misquoted) lines from any children's book, originally quite frightening as a lot of the Grimm Brothers tales were. Stella doesn't seem phased however as you have captured her grinning at her reflection from a good POV right behind her, getting the whole piece in and capturing a good angle. Blurring and overexposure on her back unfortunately but I'm not going to nitpick as this is not the focal point - well captured in good lighting and with good DOF, nice piece :)

    many thanks ed;
    as you certainly know (?), when focusing on a subject in the Mirror, the distance is multiplied by two?????

    I read something on a car wing mirror about it once I think; I have never actually photographed with mirrors, so this is all news to me!! haha thanks Fred. :)

    an excellent exemple indeed because when a driver looks into the Mirror, the distance is driver to Mirror plus Mirror to
    subject

Interesting way to capture her personality in the mirror. You can tell you put some thought process into this image. You have the focal point in the background witch I find very interesting. Thank you for sharing this awesome image.
