Congratulations on your win in the color blue contest. A well deserved win. This picture is absolutely beautiful. I wish I had a 6 to give you. I love the vibrant colors, the dark background and the amazing focus.

Wow, this looks iridescent. Presentation and visual impact are unique. I don't think I have ever seen a blue poppy. The color blend is so soothing and pleasing. What a pretty little flower. Love the angle you shot from behind. It looks like she's bowing. Beautiful clarity! Just refreshing!

Thank you for the comments. This is a favorite subject of mine and taken from all angles. I will be posting more over time.

Your exposure has brought out the lovely shades of unusual and attractive colors of this flower nicely, along with a good detailed view of the pattern in the petals. The angle is artistic and shows off the interesting tiny hairs along the stem very well.

Superb work behind your lens capturing this gorgeous poppy. I have never seen a blue one and i am so diggin' your unique POV of showing us a behind view.
White balance is superb and focus is spot on with a sweet DOF.

Impressive capture!
An interesting initial impact.
Visually soothing color combination.

Wished it was bluer just for the contest theme...but I guess Mother Nature has her reason for variegating it with subtle pink streak accents.

Compact framing.
Gorgeous Illumination.
Sharply focused.
Fine features & velvety soft textures.

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

Thank you for your comments. These are basically subtle blue flowers with the magenta highlights. I have pumped up the color a little in this shot. Sometimes they do not have as much of the purple tones but I thought in this shot that they added to the texture of the flower.

a stroke of genius including the prckly stem. A blue poppy. My mum used to plant poppies round our barrack at refugee camp Lincs Wolds for poppy seed cake, we had mauve ones but not blue ones. How wonderful.

A beautiful picture of this delicate looking Blue Poppy seen from behind it's petals curling forward & it's hairy stem attached to the centre back of the Poppy.
Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

It looks like the stems of these flowers have thorns. Ouch! From the back like this, they look a little bit like blue orchids but not as blue. This is a great entry for the contest. I like the blurred muted background. And the amazing hues in the petals. Nice composition. Sharp image. Well framed. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image
