Hi sesh thanks for sharing this excellent painting ,' the shape of water'. you have created a really interesting and intriguing scene that is both effective and shows great movement of the sea. I love the use of solid colour at the top of the waves It draws the eye into the water and allows me to feel the motion on the ocean. the misty effect of whitewash behind the orange glow is a great contrasting colour that to me resembles the wash that sprays off the wave when it breaks on the surface .. As the wave get closer to the foreground the brush strokes become less elongated and more directional. a pleasing effect for the eye. I like the use of dark blackish tone on either side of the orange swell, It gives the wave depth and value. nice work ... The blended tones in the water, together with varying lengths of the brush strokes gives a feeling of distance to the scene. A wonderful rendition of the shape of water. The water in the foreground looks as though I can see through it , revealing rocks and other sea matter that are still visible to the eye. The black background is a nice choice and offsets the harmony within the painting. A great painting with nice emotions flowing from its core. thanks for sharing. a treat to review. cheers mel

I like how full this image is of shapes and textures. It reminds me of an impasto technique. The colors are also very nice and the way they blend together in different areas is attractive.

It's such an interesting title! I'm not familiar with the movie! This is an awesome work it's got motion and drama the colors work so well . To me it's a wave that has caught the colors from a sky at sunset, it's well created and was a pleasure to view!

It was a FANTABULOUS movie, just gripping.
Your piece reminds me of a lava flow, and life coming forth into the ocean, no doubt somewhere of Hawaii.
Love that steam in the background too.
This one is alive with life.... like it a lot.
