Great initial impact with the fuzz on a leaf. The composition works nicely and is interesting to look at. Your focus is clear and sharp and lets you see all the details of the subject matter. Good initial impact. You want to get closer to see what it is.

Thank you. I was afraid to get too close - was afraid the "fuzz" might blow away ;-)

This is an awesome image! You did a nice job showing off the soft fluffy texture of the 'fuzz'. It looks like the plumes of milkweed seeds to me. Your exposure is nice too, brings the natural colors out well.

Hi chuck thanks for sharing your unique finding on the leaf at Cunningham Park. most interesting discover and your photo shows it well Great exposure and the clarity is spot on . The white against the green foliage really catches the eye and provides a beautiful colour contrast . It looks like the makings of a great cocoon for some lovely caterpillar to hatch from . An interesting photo that allows the imagination to work .. thanks for sharing. a pleasure to review. cheers mel

Quite a nice and interesting nature shot posted here! Sometimes, we as photographers stumble across interesting sights such as this one. My simple and humble guess is that someone in the vicinity treated a wound of some nature and part of the cotton ball used, escaped and landed on your leaf. Nicely taken!

Interesting thought on the fuzz. But I've got three for Milkweed so far. But, who knows? Thanks for the review.

A very interesting and unique find in the wood, like the green background help with the textures of the white cotton, very good use of light in the white balance, a pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, dale

This is such a clear and crisp shot of what looks like a seed pod from a cotton wood, I have them in my backyard and in the spring they make the yard look like it's covered in snow.
I'd rather call it a bit of natures fluff! Beautiful clarity and wonderfully detailed.
Excellent and attention grabbing title.

Excellent find and capture chuck! You have superb focus and FAB white balance control showing great details on the tiny wispy seed pod thingies! Looks like from Milk weed that we find blowing in the wind here at the wetlands. Never saw a fluffy grouping like this one, so yours is wicked coool.
Great camera techs here chuck!

Thanks. You're the second to say Milkweed, both with a question mark.

Quite a remarkable find. Usually these balls of cottony strands are vehicles to carry seeds but that does not appear to be the case here. A very nicely composed shot with fine details and excellent colors.

Chuck,
A beautiful of these seeds maybe Milkweed after they have burst out of their seed pods their little silk like parachutes attached to each seed to help them float in the air to new ground to germinate & grow. Beautiful composition Framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
