A very interesting painting. I think the monochromatic presentation works. Well, almost monochromatic given the sparse areas of pinks and greys. I also appreciate how that fence line separates the foreground from the background, nice. This painting, to me is both beautiful and calming. Reasons for my five star vote.

Very nicely done traditional artwork of seascape. The monotone blue with a hint of pink really works for this one. The moon in the sky is a nice touch. Love the placement of the horizon line. Good luck in the contest.

Many thanks again, John, for your great review and rating. No, I did this inside, mostly from memory as I live on the coast. I'd recommend the water mixable oils as I find them great for drying quickly and without the overpowering smell of turps!

Extremely well done and presented. A virtual 6 in my book. The use of the monochromatic scheme works very well. Even the warm tones are still in the blue spectrum. Excellent depth of field, nice movement and well established mood and environment. The brush strokes textures add to the scene. This reminds me very much of a piece I have been working on. Well done and good luck in the contest.

Extremely well done and presented. A virtual 6 in my book. The use of the monochromatic scheme works very well. Even the warm tones are still in the blue spectrum.
