Hi , thanks for sharing this amazing photo of the bald eagles homing in to feed their babies. Spectacular wing span you have captured as he /or she perches up higher than the nest to pursue the situation. such an intense array of feathers with so many varied shapes and lengths. Excellent exposure and great clarity . I can almost imagine what the eagle might be thinking, by the look on its face, starring intently at the nest. The eagle on the upper branch appears to have 'attitude'. love the look you have captured on its face.. His feathers, though not spanned out like the eagle below give a nice contrast in colour and allow the 2 birds to stand out separately in the scene. The use of black and white is a nice addition. It enables me to zoom in on the detail rather than being infatuated by colour .. The nest in the bottom right is a great inclusion and gives more meaning to the photo. Interesting bark on the arching branches of the tree.. It appears to have a rough surface with an abundance of micro-organisms adhering to its surface. This gives a good textural feel to the photo. The lighting is spot on and love the balance in the scene. Thank you for the accompanying story.. I can see the baby in its nest. It is camouflaged well so other predatory birds don't notice it too easily. Thanks for sharing this excellent photo of mom and dad baldy.. a pleasure to review. cheers mel best of luck in the contest

Thank you so much for your very amazingly detailed and descriptive comments. You have an amazing eye that sees so many details. I dare say I love when there are people like yourself that are so artistically inclined to be so descriptive. Again thank you so much and I really truly appreciate what you have described as this is exactly what I see as well. Many thanks. Linda

Quite a nice nature shot posted here! Your full and central composition gives us a nice look at the essential action. Like that splayed wing. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

It's an amazing capture , wonderful to get both parents in this frame, nice action stop too! The black and white shows good tonal variations but it makes it a bit difficult to distinguish the subjects from the background, it's very busy. I do appreciate your skill and timing to capture both Eagle adults!

Eagles make an interesting subject.

These birds are well captured with good central placement of them.

Camera technique is optimum for detail, DOF, and. lighting.

This B&W presentation makes it difficult to easily see all of the bird on the right. Why did you change to B&W?

Overall this is a very good shot. However, the monotone of this take makes viewing a chore.

Good luck in the contest ... B-)) Bob

Thank you very much. I found the black and white a little more interesting then the colour.

A lovely shot of these eagles
and their different views in their nest. I think the black and white is a nice touch but
I also think this would gorgeous in color and the eagles would stand out a bit more. You need to look close at this shot to really make out the detail of the lower bird as it blends in with the
detailed background.
Still an awesome capture of the three eagles together.
A rare sight to see.
Best of luck in the contest.

Pity the background is so busy, the birds are lost on it
I think that in colors it may be better and easier to see the birds

good luck with the contest and thanks for sharing
