Lol! Too cute. I like that she came up the steps, but I know it is not a habit that's best for her safety, but nice for adorable pictures. You captured very nice detail of her coat and face.

Awe! She just had to have more sunflower seed ! It's always amazing to see wildlife coming right in to our yards and on our decks and porches! Here, I have moose! She's a lovely lady, well focused, well exposed, natural colors and tones, unique composition , it's not every day that we have a deer on our porch! I love it!

I wish we had moose,I would love to get some photos, but definitely wouldn't want it on the deck-lol! Not only do we have one coming up on the deck, this past summer we had three doe(one with a fawn) laying under our deck! Started with one the previous summer, and she had company last year.Figured it was cooler underneath and they could escape the flies! Many thanks for your review! :)

I can remember a time when the deer would stay far away from people and their places. Nowadays they wander boldly in subdivisions where they are considerable pests. A very nicely composed shot with nice detail and great colors.

I like this picture! Such a brave deer. Usually they don't come so close. You have captured her very well and at a great angle. She must have felt the risk was worth the reward.
Well accomplished!

Haha cheeky little Deer! You were asking for it by laying out such a platter like this! lol. An excellent capture showing great clarity and sharpness and also nice lighting which catches the detailed fur and it's different colour tones very nicely. You were in a good POV to catch it up close and red handed, they must not be great at reading & missed the "Chipmunks only" sign, as I've noticed whenever I see a "Deer Crossing" sign in the road there's never one there. ;) A lovely capture of this gorgeous animal with good tight cropping and lush green grass contrasting nicely in the b/g, well done nad best of luck in the polls! :)

Whoever you are, thank you for posting this. It really made me laugh. It reminds me of a joke where two dogs meet each other. The first introduces himself as Larry and asks the other dog for his name. The other dog said he is called No No Bad Dog. No No Bad Doe! I agree with not wanting deer ne'er any windows or any other glass. They used to leap a six foot fence into and out of our yard. They have quick very hard hooves and they spook and panic easily. Next thing you know, she'll bring her boyfriend and then you also have to worry about antlers. I really enjoyed this post. It is a good entry for the contest. Nice composition. Well framed. It is just a tiny bit fuzzy on zoom. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

A very nice nature shot capturing the doe looking for food, the image is clear with good light handling, and natural colours, the position of the deer works well in the frame as it takes the sunflower seeds the chipmunk will be furious! Lol. I love to see the deer in my garden
But can understand you not wanting them on the decking.
