This is a fairly common flower shot. It is okay but would not stand out in a crowd. The color is good, the soft focus in the background helps make the story stand out. But the soft focus on the front part of the center looks like a mistake and is distracting. To make it stand out I think you would need to look at this in a different way other than strictly centered.

This is a beautiful flower, I love the bright yellow color, nice detail in the center , focus is good from the top middle on down and around to the nine o'clock position , perhaps that was your intention.

A nice close up of this flower. The colors are excellent and it is quite sharp although it could benefit from a little more depth of field. Best of luck in the contest.

The center of this lower is super sharp and full of crisp details. The petals are out of focus and make for a nice backdrop to show off the center and give it a nice depth of field. The purple tones in the center contrast nicely with the bright yellow of the petals. Good luck in the contest.

a very interesting looking flower, like the blurred of the yellow brings out the brown center, but i think the very center is missing textures, but love the textures on the outer edge of the brown and yellow dots, a pleasure to look at. thank you for sharing. dale
