Lovely bright summer colours, makes me long for summer even more! I particularly like how you've done the water - it looks simple enough, but you've got all the tiny waves all going in the right direction, so not as easy as it looks!

As usual, outstanding drawing with Sharpie and Bic markers on cardstock. The water is fabulous, I think. The bathing suit and girl relaxing on the colorful tube is delightful. Fine work and best wishes.

Boy you really have to rub it in Mark! I'm up north and every 2 days or so It has been snowing. I can't wait till warmer weather arrives and I can enjoy the warmth of spring. I can FEEL the JOY this little girl is feeling! Total relaxation, never felt so good! Love the feel good vibe of this! You did a great job of expressing what this little girl is emoting. Love the ripples in the water along with the colorful inner tube and bathing suit. Definitely a fun entry for the contest! Good Luck! Oh this one I had dusted off the cobwebs and thought I would bring her out. Cute as she is, I think she placed 3rd in that contest years ago. You know it really is true in these contest..these committee members judge work based on key points as an artist. However, the average cartoonist would only meet on half of those standards. Also my office medium was hard to be accepted in the art world over the years. However as my mama use to tell me.."Boy you are hardheaded!" ..yep I am..now they tolerate me and my quirky sense of humor but every now and then I'll get those "what is that medium your using?" Questions.. really what shocks me that occasionally I have someone ask what is a sharpie or Bic pen? Wild huh? I did this one from memory of the fun I had in the pool with youngest grandaughter. My daughter question me wanting to know when did I see her in these heart shape sunglass and that swimsuit? Where is the photo? No photo .just memory and a creative mind..this is not very best cartoon but my most memorable one..wink. thanks for the awesome review

Thank is brilliant you can dofrom memory, litterlary i just come in from the back and thought I would do a painting with my old school in and put friends in, now 45 years ago, wonder what my mem will be like lol. Just great you can create this from your memory. Cheers

Do it like a characterization of each of em.. something that stood out in their facial feature or expression..you know like clark gable's mustache and big ears..or barbara streisand with big nose..that type of a characterization..just a suggestion. Wink.
