This wee girl floating on her inner tube with heart shades says it all for me.
Once My work day is over its fun time!!
love the movement of the water, the happy face on the girl and the song by Nat King Cole is now playing in my head.
Roll out those lazy hazy days of summer!!

Well Mark, a chuckle immediately sprang from my chest the instant I saw this one. It is just to cute. Of course I enjoy the multicolor composition of the little girl on the tube, but how you did the water is intriguing and attention getting. I think I will study this one a little until I get it. Reasons for my five star vote.

And Florida is just that colorful in the pool. Awesome how you caught the sun's rays glittering on the water. Excellent proportions and expression. Very good coloring Love the sunglasses. Very good , my friend, and good luck in the contest.

Aw! You were right - it is good. Actually its great. At first I thought it was a mixed media photo. Colors are screamin' - kaleidoscopic. You hit this right outta the ball park. Who's the model???? ;-). Thanks for sharing Mike. Chuck

over all the years i still get tickled when folks say that im doing something new..not really..the saying s true "you are what you are on last post"..when i was doing the music videos..im the cartoon video guy..when i was doing the "Funnie Flower" cartoon series im flower guy..when i was doing the sports and rock series im sports and rock guy..when folks in the outside world discover that i can draw they're usual question is "what do you draw?"..i smile and say "everything"..folks think im full of it..i never know what a writer might throw at me from their stories and i have to be ready to illustrate it..the only thing that im consistent with is i work with sharpie and bic pens. thats it..thanks for the great review.

Hi Mark thanks for sharing this happy little snippet of joy of this girl taking her liberties in the water.. Love the colour.. the vibrant stripes on her swimming apparel is both youthful and joyous.. and the contrasting lines on the float she is relaxing on give a great contrast in both hues and constructional value. both eye catching and with a pleasing emotion of happy fun filled expression. Her sunnies in the shape of love hearts at rather priceless and add to that girlish excitement and expression plastered on her face. the open mouth gives me the notion she is saying ahhhhh.... ain't this great.... as she floats her boat on the surface of that refreshing blue water ... love the squiggles and shapes used to create motion on the water.. they are a nice addition to the scene and also help bring out that 'feel good ' emotion of happiness within the scene. The body language is perfect.. sprawled out comfortably in her ring of confidence without a care in the world.. just pure ecstasy-- no worries, no rules, no parents, and complete freedom... for that moment anyway. thanks for sharing this delightful portrait of a child's dream.. joy.. and happiness reigns... great picture to review to bring out the fun in life. best of luck in the contest Mark. cheers mel

Great expression full of childhood laughter! I am always impressed with how you can create such vivid color and detail with your medium. I really like the way you made the water. Everything looks proportionally realistic with a nice balance of whimsy.

A young Lolita taking charge of the pool, except the glasses should be red. Full of color and fun, this image attracts you to take a look and enjoy. Well executed.
