Your crop job looks fine to me! The full and central composition you used is very appropriate for your subject. Sharpness and exposure are good. Lovely photo!

That is a really beautiful flower. I think that is a Grand Daddy Long-leg. We use to have a few of them in our house growing up. They hare the most poison-est spider but can't bite us because their mouths are too small. When they get upset the bounce up and down and a bad smell gets on you. Good lighting. Thanks for sharing.

Well to be honest this photo creeped me out when I saw the spider. It is so big and I am not a huge fan of spiders lol. I do however like the beautiful rose you have presented here. The soft pink color has such an elegant look to it. The clarity is so good that you can see every little detail, you framed it beautifully, and the lighting is excellent. Well done and thanks for sharing this gorgeous rose with us :)

Hi Jack, thanks for sharing this absolutely stunning rose boasting its beauty and offering joy to the world. Oh and of course , as is the spider who has taken centre stage in your picture. Looks like a Daddy long legs spider... ( or don't you have them in your part of the globe.. ). The rose petals are truly spectacular.. Each layer of petals complimenting the next as they gently unfold to display themselves .. The pink tone saturates my eyes in a most appealing way. I could almost suggest that this rose is perfect in its formation ... wow, I bet it looked stunning in your garden Jack, and I can understand why you are looking forward to spring time returning.. The centre of the rose has some of its stamen visible .. The spider however, takes that leading role.. I like the inclusion of the foliage in the background, somewhat muted in its tone to make the bloom really pop.. works nicely.. Excellent exposure and the lighting is perfect.. A great angle used to capture the flower. shows off the many layers of pink petals well. I can almost imagine the beautiful perfume this rose may have... Thanks for sharing your touch of beauty and I hope it blooms again quickly to bring you joy in your garden. A delight to review. cheers mel

First of all I love the vibrancy of the flower itself. Such a wonderful color. You have captured such a great flower and did not leave out any part of it. Focus is great and even the background it at the right sharpness without being completely blurred. Great photo!

I love the color of the flower...it is such a soft pink! I didn't notice the spider until I enlarged the photo...how cool to catch that, makes for a very interesting photo. I thought your cropping was fine :) Did you take the color out of the background? I think the leaves green would have been gorgeous!

Beautiful rose and the spider makes an interesting find on the petals. I don't mind the close cropping. It is nicely focused and the clarity of the full bloom is very good as is the lighting. Well captured.

Actually Jack the cropping is not a big issue. This is a good photo and the addition of the "Daddy Longlegs" is a nice bonus. The dark background really makes the rose stand out. Nice work here Jack ~ Steve

this is a lovely rose...surreal in it's effect due to your choice of the highly saturated, almost neon pinks. I like it. I like seeing how the lavenders and blues move outward to the tips of your petals. Your spider is a friendly little visitor and adds a garden story to this scene. Background is deep and complimentary in a grey tone instead of a green that may interfere with this vibrant pink. Fun one to view! Thank you for sharing!

Nice photo! Simple but very pleasing to the eye. I notice you said you crppped it too much but I actually like how much detail you get close up. And I love the color. Nice job!
