I think that the layout and the little things really matter in this photo. The moon in the distant background is a great addition in the blue ombre Sky, and the silhouette of the mountains with the tint of orange over it is a striking comparison. I love the buildings and the color combination in this picture. Very cleverly taken! Well done.

A beautiful night shot. I am most impressed by the way you captured the disc of the moon even though it was in crescent phase. The red light over the mountains is outstanding too.

A fantastic nighttime overview of the city of Cannes taken from a great vantage point and with brilliant long DOF and sharp clarity throughout, that takes in a great range of visual stimulus, ranging from the predominantly orange/yellow buildings and rooftops that are in the foreground and lead up to the harbour, with intermittent brighter and varying coloured lights, showing the night activity very much alive. The darker point at which the water is met is well defined and then the lights on the far side that sit underneath the beautifully captured esterel mountains give a great sense of scale and proportion, with the wonderful outline of the mountains backed up by a yellowish hue of the night sky, which fades sharply to blue, and topped off with the crescent moon above. A fantastic composition and wonderful capture overall, well done and best of luck in the polls! :)

A beautiful night time view over Cannes the city's lights adding a golden glow to the buildings & lower sky while above in the deep sapphire blue sky we can see the moon & some twinkling stars. Beautiful composition, framing &lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
