Nicely done and very meaningful piece.
The gradient background provides a nice contrast to the tree and leaves in the foreground.
The leaves swirl around as if blown by hurricane force winds yet the roots hold.
Very meaningful and well presented.

It is clear from the paining that this tree has seen more than its share of wind storms, and it is weathering this storm with ease. I love the purple and blue of the sky, and the depth that the roots actually show in the picture. Very nice, and very deserving of recognition.
