The good old days when I was a carefee child of leisure...gone now are those lazy weekends replaced by work, chores and responsibilities.

Hi Raoul thanks for sharing this awesome painting' Leisure'.. love the delightful emotion that emanates from within the scene. It is one of complete relaxation and the feeling of tranquility and peacefulness really saturates my thoughts. The fine detail in the girl's body is beautifully rendered.. Excellent shading used on her lower legs to really enhance the muscle tone in her calves. I love the relaxed position of her feet. even her toes are well rendered giving her a completely restful emotion. The blue shorts are nicely drawn, as they cover her torso comfortably loosely hanging over her thighs.. the darker hues create a textural value and show the folds of material around the bent leg nicely.. Her yellow shirt sits comfortably over her chest and shoulders , not tightly fitting, which adds to the appearance of a relaxed body.. the occasional splashes of deeper tones on her shirt are effective and again, offer good textural value. I like the way her red vest is hanging loosely from her shoulder.. It gives the feeling that she is at ease with herself at this moment in time. Her arms are well drawn and the one that is draped on the ground seems completely relaxed with good hand detail showing muscle relaxation also. The hand covering her eyes appears to be blocking the sun rays and glare from her face.. An interesting addition in your scene. Her facial features are well drawn and the black hair forms a nice border around her forehead. The brighter hue used to render the rock-face is a nice contrast and its earthy colour reflects a natural peaceful environment ..The greenery is well balanced upon the rock's surface.. offers great textural value with the grasses extending their fine stems towards the sunshine above. Their earthy hue compliments the tone of the rock nicely and the added flower tips are a pleasant splash of blue colour .. The grassy surface is well rendered as it grips the rock's surface and provides a nice soft blanketed effect for the girl to rest on. the background lighter beige colour is a perfect blend.. it contrasts against the girls clothing and is complimented nicely by the colour of the rock itself. some interesting shadows on the rock surface add to the value and give some indication of where the sun is shining from above. Fabulous painting with such a peaceful emotion in my mind's eye as I recall times in my past , where I laid upon the rocks by the river feeling totally at ease with the world, just as you have portrayed in this young lady's portrait before my eyes. I like the sense of age to this painting, it strikes a tone with masters paintings of the past. Though nearly a cartoon it still maintains a perfect amount of realistic detail to show its character

Beautiful depiction of a leisurely day on the farm. Tired after a hard days work and looking up into the sky. Excellent color pallet that exudes old world charm and the technique of the old masters. I love this piece very much. Bravo and thanks for sharing.

The details and vintage colors in this work are enjoyable. I love the lazy day pose of your subject. It reminds me of when my brothers and I would lie on our backs looking for shapes in the clouds. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I'd have picked a nice place to lay
He looks like he might have a headache. An initial response. I get that he'sā?? got Time to just lay down and chill out. The picture has good form nice color and shading. It is well composed and has good balance
