A perfect photo in my own opinion. The subject is framed nicely and contrasts perfectly to its background and perch. The details are captured perfectly. Thanks for sharing

The Flycatcher Family ?
It was years ago , I was told that chickens keep the flies down . I even had two geese .
Seemed like I had more flies than ever . A mountain lion got the geese and my dog started killing the chickens . Green Acres ? Circle of life ? Don't know .

It's a very cool piece and thank you for sharing .

Oh my! Very well photographed with spot on sharp focus with incredible details of the feathers and markings of this Oriental Magpie Robin. Beautifully done in square format. You really captured his/her personality. Superb eye clarity and since the eyes are so sharp draw you into your photography. Your choice of wide aperture diffusing your backdrop and complimenting your overall work. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

Judging by your interesting notes, no one seems to really know how to classify your interesting bird! Your image benefits from having a good central composition, it's sharp and well exposed. Well done!

Grace,
What a beautiful little bird with markings akin to a Magpie but much smaller & with a slender beak unlike a Magpie (which is a member of the Crow family) but much more akin to our European Robin who is also a Flycatcher. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. (Thanks for showing me a "new" Bird)

Beautiful shot of this Robin, Gracie. His position on the branch is so lovely. Your white balance makes the white of his feathers so perfect. Hard to do against the black. The soft background is a lovely canvas. Your horizontal orientation with him just off center is really appealing. Thanks for sharing.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Everything I look for in bird photography is here. Razor sharp focus, eye clarity with Bonus reflective light and outstanding sa-wa-eeeeet DOF.
It is a challenge to shoot an all white or all black bird, but to capture one that is both even harder. White balance must be set manually married with correct ISO and EV. Your camera settings are spot on.
Perfect example of why white balance is a must to understand and learn.
The pose, Placement within the frame and stop action on this bird are all superb.
I have never seen this bird in person so it's treat to see such a fine photo of him here.
One of your best bird photos to date Grace.
Fine work GEM! :)

Lovely capture of this pretty Dhyal Thrush, Grace, as it perches on the end of the twig. The softened background pushes him forward well. I like the angle you used for this showing him looking to the side. Excellent lighting and focus showing a beautiful crisp image. Lovely composition. Suzanne
