Oh, what a beautiful tribute to you friends. This is a very sad disease and it's so hard to watch someone you love fade away. Color harmony is very nice and soothing. Nice shading and highlighting. A beautiful and very touching piece.

Thank you, Amy. Yes it is heartbreaking and very stressful.

I can decide if this means to show sadness, being trouble by the world or just not knowing what to do, in any case I love it very much

Thank you. It is to depict the fractured memories of people with dementia. The sad expressions are symbolic of how sad they and their caretakers feel.

I totally love and respect your concept. I have a few friends in the same condition. My other had a stroke and was left side paralyzed. We kept her here at my house in a hospital bed and cared for her for four and half years. Her dementia was frustrating to deal with at first and then sad as her time came to an end.
Your art work illustrates the situation in reality. terms. I always feel for the caretakers . Excellent work.

My father had this dreadful disease so I understand the title and the sadness you portray. The three faces all portray how awful this is. Good use of color, detail, a very heartfelt pastel. Susan

First of all, I am so very sorry about your two friends, I also have a very dear friend who is in the finale stages of Alzheimers . In this work you show the delicate egg shaped faces with the fractured surfaces and the very sad expressions on each one, the muted color tones work so well in this piece to covey the sad mood . This is very well thought out and very well accomplished !

It's the worse disease when you can't even remember the name of the very person who takes care of you...
Not even your sons & daughters want to attend to your needs.
I can relate as I have an aunt who's suffering from a right sides stroke plus dementia!
Thank God, the caretaker is very patient & persevering person!

Muted earth tones matched the mood of the moment...

Thanks for sharing...

This is a nice piece. It is emotional. My first thought... 3 Humpty Dumpties. Love the sandy pastel look. The sadness is seen. I hate to hear that about your friends. Your concern shows in your art expression. Good art. Enjoy your day.
