Beautiful fine detail of the dome, with great lighting. I love the interesting framing and how you chose to go off-center and not reveal the entire dome. Beautiful perspective and photo!

This is a very interesting photo. I like the off center image. I love the colors and design within the dome. The brighter yellow center draws your eye right into the photo. It feels like a kaleidoscope.
A pleasure to view. An eye catcher for sure.

A glorious photo and congratulations on the blue ribbon award. Domes are not easy to photograph. Yours is in perfect focus and shows the dome's wonderful depth. Everything associated with Lincoln in Springfield is worth a visit!

Yes, I did enjoy Springfield! Your kind review is much appreciated!! I puzzled though by your mentions of a "blue ribbon" award? Please explain!
-
The blue ribbon is the symbol for the "Recognized" award that is shown beside your photo in the contest entry.

Many thanks!

Did not want to knock of half as this looks such an interesting thing to take, would like to know why the rest of the dome was not in this, and bet there was a reason because this is crying out to see the whole thing,do like all those figures, and must have taken ages to do,but thanks for sharing this, just wanted to see more...Brian

I can well understand your frustration! It was unfortunately unavoidable as I was on an escorted tour of the building and did have much time over deciding on compositions!! Thanks for your nice review!

your welcome, did think there was a reason,i once was on a similar thing in Istanbul and had a similar tour and could not get a decent photo
