I like this shot a lot. I love the silhouette of the bird and log he's sitting on. I would have either included more or eliminated completely the foliage in the top right corner. The coloring is very bright but works out well here ... I think your use of lighting really helps with that. Great shot!

Thank you so much for your review. Yes I understand about the foliage in the upper right corner. It is a bit distracting for sure. There was no more to add. To delete meant to either crop down from the top and eliminate some of that gorgeous sky or crop in from the right and eliminate those rocks that add balance to the scene. Kind of a no win situation. But you are spot on with your suggestion. Thank you for your great review and commentary ~ Steve

I like what you've done to produce this stunning colourful sunset scene with the lone Egret silhouetted against the fiery sky. The foliage in the right upper corner helps to create depth and contrast. Love all the shadows from the rocks too. Great composition. Suzanne

I see a very creative presentation that is in near monochrome color.
In the upper third of this capture there are light and dark streaks of clouds highlighted by a setting sun. The edges of the clouds are distinct and lend an atmosphere of hot drama.
The middle third of this frame has a calm sea with small lapping waves on the shoreline that is occupied by the silhouette of a solitary Egret.
The bottom third has a shadow of the bird and other typical beach debris. The eye catcher in this portion is the reflection of the dying sun on the foam rushing back to the sea.
Overall I see a capture that is very creative and presented in an easy to view setting.
The monochromatic atmosphere contains a harmonious blending of the Orange through Red spectrum. This color palette sets a mood consistent with the end of a hot day.
If this was just for fun, what could you have produced if you were in your usual modus operandi.
Sometimes just goofing around can produce "Gems". I think this is a cool shot ... B-)) Bob
