a great deal of work has gone into that vision of blue, to make it into sky, horizon and sea! I have tried putting my hand over the land and plants and it still shows as sky, horizon and sea, so you have captured it. Expertly done!

Thank you so very much. I think it is my best beach scene to date.

I feel as though I am standing on this shoreline, bracing myself against the ocean's wind and being spellbound by the beauty of this scene. The ominous clouds arriving to deliver their rain upon this observer. Brilliant work.

A lively light and shadow effect is achieved nor only in the use of colours but also by the shades of individual colours.. A fine effort in the vertical format. There is balance and nice depth in the painting. Good luck!

Impressive art work of light and shadows in this lovely beach scene. Good use of the rule of thirds which gives great viewing of the stormy clouds, sea and sand/foliage. Love the different shades and hues you have used and great contest entry!

Wow, how stunning! Vivid, colorful, clear, crisp and clean work this is. I am shocked to see that blue(s) in that sky. Strong, drama, artsy, fun, loving art at the ocean edge. Gorgeous water, the light and the gamma, hues, tones and shades all in one spot. Your a master at what you have here and I thank you for this one.

Wow...very stormy sky is well painted with darks and light. Love the reflections in the water and colors you used.. Well presented with the shore line meeting the water. Good foreground with sand and foliage nicely done. I like the highlighted brush up front also. Good job!

a really effective piece of art work with the deep blue hues of the sky and the well blended clouds contrast beautifully with the ebb of the waters and i like the foreground too that gives this piece perspective

At the moment I think this is your best seascape. That sky is magnificent in its action, deep and light color exchanges. The more subdued action forms in the ocean retains the same energy in the background while calming into the ocean greens lapping on the beach. The dark under color of the foamy wave touching the beach adds that touch of realism giving this drawing an added punch. The sparse vegetation with the bold yellow strokes of the plant on the right establishes a strong sense of depth. An overall beautiful action seascape. Reasons for my six star vote.

Thank you so very much. I, too, think this is my best beach. I think I am finally getting the hang of it. Thanks for your support.

You are welcome. Now try the traditional horizontal. Make it at least 24 by36 inches and feel how it takes your breath away just looking at that large canvas space.
