Excellent stop action, superb Clarity and focus and fine white balance control! Your shutter was high/ low f/stop low ISO and Kelvin Temp offered superb true and Natural colors.
Love the wings up like umbrellas making shade.

This is so interesting. I like the way she creates shade with her wings and keeps a keen eye on the water for fish. The waters and the marsh grasses in the background are so lovely. You did a great job utilizing the natural light.

This photograph has amazing Depth and almost appears to be three dimensional. I love how your heron seems to pop right out of the photo. Excellent detail and beautiful pose captured in this lovely bird.

A lovely capture of this blue Heron with a great title to match, showing a brilliant side profile with excellent timing that displays the outstretched wings from a great POV. The clarity is sharp and shows the complex detail of the feather structure, as well as the long neck and beak as it hones in on its prey with a look of focus in it's beady eye. Great natural lighting and good DOF shows the surrounding and proportion to the piece clearly, and the contrasting greenery and shallows of the murky water and brown mud work well in accentuating this neatly captured and cropped shot - well done and best of luck in the polls! :)
