Beautiful shot! The black background gives something of a surreal feeling to the rose. The petals almost have a fleshy feel to them and the water droplets are awesome!

Wow! I can see why this has an all time best status. This is the first time I am seeing this and have fallen in love with it. It is a magnificent and stunning rose with it's orange and yellow tones. The black background enhances further the bold colors. Love the crisp and clear water droplets that are on the rose. Nice work.

awwww...your words are so kind Karen. Thank you for that. Night-time photography is a favorite of mine. There are no homes....buildings or lights w/in a mile of my place so that gorgeous rich deep blackness enhances my flowers to the max. I love it.....AND this piece. Anyway, do really appreciate your wonderful review of this guy. Thank you again.

Nice colors; like the mix of orange and red; good foliage; looks healthy; nice black background to bring it out; the bloom looks perfect; you have a spot on straight "face" shot; the rain drops are a nice touch; I remember growing roses; had 12 bushes, favorite was the orange bush. Take care.

Your loyal rosebush has certainly produced a fabulous flower to photograph! For starters, the color is unusual and you have showcased its depth of colors. The raindrops are a bonus. Congratulations on a frame-worthy flower.

Super shot Deb! You and your roses, lol!
I love all the fine detailing you captured here. Really crystal clear and the color is amazingly vibrant.
It almost looks like an octopus unfolding underwater actually. The upper right but looks like an eye to me, as if she is shyly checking out the scene before unfolding in all her glory in the darkness.
Just wonderful.

Beautifully magnificent, that is my 1st reaction to this wonderful image. I love this "rose" and how it is gently kissed by the delicate water droplets.
Beautifully framed and the perfect back ground to really make this beauty show in all her glory.
Really well done.
