Make me think of my Great-Grandma and the stories my Mom tells about her and her magnificent rose.

I am not found of dark background, but the darkness works perfect for this composition. It intensifies the texture of the petals and the exquisite reflections in the water drops. The water drops are not distracting. The highlighted water drop above is especially attractive because it draws our eyes to the petals.

The dark background is my place Cleo. There is no other house w/in a mile of my place so when I'm out in the gardens at night it's just me and the stars.....the very dark night....and, of course, my flashlights lol Do so appreciate you having a look at this piece and thank you for the really lovely review you've given it. It is wonderful to have you reviewing again.

I realized it was taken at night, jusddt wanted to metion that what is a plus in some compositions like yours, could be a minus in others.
