I remember holding the flashlight for this one BB. It came out even better than I expected. Colors are beautifully subtle (is that a term)? and those water droplets are just the icing on the cake. Wonderful job BB ~ BB

LOL Must be you holding the flashlight gave it that extra little oomph BB. In fact, I'm sure of it. You need to come be my flashlight holder more often! Thank you so much for sharing a gold star w/ this one. I do really appreciate it. Now, in about a month I'll be ready for some more night-time photography so put me on your calendar. OK? Don't forget!

'THE' sparkling ROSE indeed!
I like the golden orange glow as illuminated by your
ever-trusty flashlight!
Compact framing.
Subdued lighting.
Looks so refreshing with those rain droplets clinging on those velvety soft petals...
Thanks for sharing...

Wow this is so beautiful , the dark background really sets the colors of the rose off, and the water drops sparkle, great camera skills used to achieve this image, a pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, dale

Your very welcome, these are not easy to get pictures of, flowers with water on them are hard to get a good shot, an to get one this clear is a 10 but the higest is a 6,

Oh....MY...Goodness!! What a gorgeous capture! When you said you were gather photos last summer to store up for the long winter...you weren't kidding! This one is gorgeous!!
I can see your flashlight technic. It works extremely well for you. This is especially interesting with the droplets. But the most successful part of that is the control of the reflections in those droplets. Often times a water droplet on flower shot is out of control with the white reflections of the droplets interfering with the flower itself. Not so on this one....only adds more texture and beauty of those colors beneath those drops.
I love your story... I am not a rose lover in my gardens..at all. I hate the thorns for one thing. And second...I just don't like the greenery of the bushes....the leaves. Many plants I love the leaves just as much as the flowers. Ya know? Anyway...good job on sustaining the life of this beauty! And thank you for sharing! Warming up and staying warmer up there? Hope so! Thanks for sharing Deborah! Beautiful!

awwww Thank you so much Becky. You know you always wonder how a piece will be received....what the first review will be like. I have to say your review and such wonderful rating is a really good way to start. As for ROSES- not particularly my favorite flower either- mostly b/c I have flowers that are much more interesting but this guy here I am very proud of. Just the fact that it's come back so many years makes me a bit protective of it...lol Well before I start to talk about ii as if it's my child or something just let me say thank you again. I really do appreciate this first review my friend.
