The purity of this white snow is magical, and its amazing this was taken just a month ago. Well, maybe not for Alaska!
I just love this as the beauty and the detail is subtle and dark and the white snow takes the stage. The shadows add incredible depth to this scene and the perspective is fantastic.
I can see it as a wonderful place for winter activities and it really makes for a beautiful winter landscape.
Another beauty and a pleasure to view.

This is a well thought out shot. You choose the right time and the right angle to photograph the snowy mountain-landscape. Timing is crucial for snow covered country because you need a low sun and shadows to adjust the white-scale. You white scale is in level, light and shadows are well balanced. The shadowy left side is in good contradiction with the lighted area at right. The snow-less patched of the mountains are in nice contrast to the snow below and the cloudy sky above. The leading lines starting at the right and venture diagonally are pleasing our equilibrium.

White is the most difficult color to get right, and this photo is full of all sorts of white that are not overpowering. The location is beautiful and the picture reflects that fact. Excellent photo.

Pat,
A beautiful picture of the snow covered Talkeetna mountain peaks at Hatcher Pass, makes me want to take up Skiiing again. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & razor char focus with perfect white balance.

Wow,Pat!
That's a fine looking photo indeed,my friend!
You'd almost expect to see a giant white-furred Abominable Snowman shambling over the crest of the mountain at any moment! : D

My goodness that's a lot of snow! Great shot of it. You were able to capture alot of detail which I know is now easy with all that white area. The lighting and composition are beautiful and complementary. Lovely shot!

Great shot of the Talkeetna pass. Reminds me of when I went to the top of the Swiss Mountains at the highest peak. I do believe I was hypoxic for awhile. I got panicky and couldn't breath for a spell and then...every single thing was fun and enjoyable. We were up there for hours making snow men, jumping around and laughing. I think we all were a bit high from lack of oxygen...but...it was so much fun. Love everything about your photo.

What a cool shot! I thought for sure those were bigfoot tracks, then I read your story. Then I thought I saw him peaking from behind one of the hills, IDK I think you got evidence they do exist! Lol.. Really awesome, sometimes I think to myself how lucky we are to just b able to go out and see amazing scenes like this. Thank you for sharing! :D

This is a well done study in White as your whites are white and not gray as so often happens when trying to photograph the color white. The blue gray cloud on the top adds good depth. The lights and shadows show the depth of the snow drifts.
