I cannot stop studying this work of art. You have added depth of field...literally...by layering your background by waiting between applications. And then by using a stronger saturation and your outlining ...ink? You truly have such a sense of beauty in a scene. And with your obvious expertise in mixing colors and opacities of paint..you have me mesmerized. I would say knowing when to quit on a canvas such as this might be the problem for me. I tend to overwork my art. You have finesse in yours. And Suzanne is an inspiration as an artist and a person. It is so nice of you to mention her. Thank you for sharing your art with us here on FAR.. Magnificent!

Ok, big... on a wall painted of soft blue... that is how I see this prize winner.
I really love this Linda.
Your playfulness shows in this very creative piece.
Love the dragons and your flowers painted, are reminiscent of paintings from the 60s. A period of art that I love so well.

What a gorgeous Sunny Spring Garden piece. I love your color palette with those blue Dragonflies. Your background with it's soft color palette and texture draws you into this very beautiful garden....and it gives you the feeling of a calm and serene place. The flowers feels as if they are growing on a vine .....nice movement created with those magical dragonflies. I love this! Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

I'm glad you tried the pouring method, Linda - it makes a lovely background for your flowers. I'm still experimenting and haven't yet found the perfect mix!
I love the delicate colours you used for the background and the flowers and dragonflies and how you've placed the flowers. Love all the detail. Lovely acrylic painting. Suzanne

Linda,
A beautiful painting of your Spring garden with the gold & orange flowers & visiting Dragon Flies against a soft misty green & blue backdrop that invites me the explore your garden further. Created with very skilful draftsmanship & brushwork, beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life.

Hi Linda, I like the light uplifting feeling your image creates. The soft colors make the image very spring-like. The over all feeling is soothing. The added dragonflies create an airy feel. The background adds to the lightness of the image too. You can't look at this image without feeling "Spring". Very nicely Done! :o) Helvi

Linda, this is so lovely. Like a page out of a vintage fairy tale book. The dragon flies add such a perfect touch to the dainty flowers. I love this picture and find myself being drawn into the scene.

I do not often comment on paintings because I know so little about the process. This outcome is beautiful and delicate. I love the dragonflies and the beautiful colors.
