This is breath taking shot. The mountains so high that the clouds pass right through the tops. Again, the vastness is what amazes me. I know you get to see this everyday or anytime you kike but I live in a flat part of the county We have to travel four to five hours just to see some hills and then another couple of hours to see small mountains. *sigh* so pretty.

Our mountains protect us too, from strong wind, growing up, I took them for granted, traveling to places that don?t have them made me appreciate them a lot. One day I would love to visit Georgia , I bet there are beautiful landscapes there too!

Watching tv yesterday we were told that the Capital city of Alaska is going to be the worst hit this century with earthquakes and several other cities follow quite a bit behind. So I presume they will evacuate you all into this gorgeous countryside..

The cloud touching the top of the middle mountain peak shows the height of these mountains. The I like the way the sunlight breaks the shadows between the peaks. The tree line at the base of the mountain range also helps to depict the massiveness of the mountains.

A very nice shot that shows the precipitous incline of the mountains. I like the way they seem to sprout up out of the level plane of the foreground. Great colors and fine composition.
