The ice blue eye on this bird is so striking. Aside from the bill it is really the only spot of color. The sunlight reflecting on the drying wing feathers gives his body a brownish cast. I like the way he is leaning against the curved mangrove root.

Amazing image. The blue eye is really incredible, like a precious jewel surrounded by exquisite plumage.
The arched branch works well as it curves diagonally through the shot and provides a nice way into the shot.
The soft blur beyond is well done without going overboard.
Nice job.
