I think this is a great shot Fred. The close up view has wonderful detail and I like how the petal design of the flower can be seen in the opening. The tiny hairs of the plant really stand out well (and they appear to be sharp) with a good amount of texture.

The composition unusual. It is very intriguing haw the opening blossom is halfway hidden behind the sepals. The focus is top on. The light efficiently used. The details and textures of the petals and sepals are well defined. Even the hairs of the sepals stand out like silver needles. The shallow background emphasizes the flower. The tall framing is efficient.

Wow ... that's beautiful! So much detail and clarity in the flower and stem. Love the blurred grass background on it as well. Fantastic composition ... it has a really nice feel to it.

This is such a nice study in the contrast between the delicate and the tough. The rugged looking leaves of the calyx remind me of cactus leaves with their fine fuzz spikes. The emerging blossom looks like crumpled tissue paper.

Lovely close up of the pink poppy, Excellent focus showing all the tiny details on the stem and leaves. The pink color is so pretty. Clear, sharp lighting makes the photo pop. Very nice centering and filling of the frame.

The center of this flower is going to be beautiful just by seeing the darker pink tones. Very nice work beautifully framed.
