Gathering For The Sunset

For me the initial visual impact was seeing the concentric arches in silhouette with the sun framed in the near arch

Your exceptional framing shows a synergy between geometry and astronomy.

For the viewer this synergy is the vehicle for impressions that spark yet another story to tell.

My first impression is of a great solar calendar. The sun is at mid summer and solstice, never far away, awaits behind the column.

The color and tonal range is awesome. The change in gradient from bottom to top is so even and smooth.

I am glad there were no clouds around or near the sun for this take. Sun burst would remove the subtle texture of this fine shot.

When a shooter gets a shot like this that provokes, invokes, or otherwise makes the viewer see other possibilities. Then maybe just maybe there might be one viewer who after studying this piece comes away seeing other possibilities for his or herself, acts on them and changes their life. Can it get better than that?

That hidden potential that this piece possesses is the reason this capture is so much more than just another pretty sunset ... B-)) Bob

    You are wise grasshopper.

such a perfect setting for a perfect sunset! The glow on the horizon is perfection and the barely visible crowd of admirers is proof of its awesomeness. Thanks for sharing!

A both beautiful & atmospheric Mexican sunset at Malicon with the setting sun sitting on the horizon framed by one of the stint arches the sky above coloured a beautiful deep orange & gold behind the silhouetted bfive arches in the foreground. Artistic composition beautiful framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

The arches look so nice silhouetted again the gorgeous sunset. The shapes and the height make for an interesting image. I like that the pelican managed his way into the frame too.

Nicely captured here. I love the silhouettes and strong tonal values. Quite well taken.
The arches seem like a reminder that all human made edifices under the sun shall pass, but not the eternal energy of creation.
Quite lovely this.

Thank you Trajan. How true that human edifices as well as all Things shall pass away yet the Pure Potentiality of the Eternal will always remain.
