Totally HOT!
This does indeed resemble abstract fire flames!
Wicked coooool Suzanne!
Love the movement, the orange and black and the way it all blends together creating flames.
You make it look so easy..but there is a talent needed here to create such a piece.
Nice work;)

This reminds me of burning wood. The black really created good depth. The wavy vertical lines create the look of flames on charred wood...as though a tree is on fire.

This is really a unique abstract with amazing texture. The flames have that crackling appearance that is seen on burning wood that really stands out next to the softer blended areas of this work. The colors are wonderful and this is an amazing creation using your technique which I find most interesting. I could see this framed and displayed as a truly unique abstract work of art. Beautifully done.

This is brilliant in creativity. You have designed orange flames including the crackling effect as if on burnt wood. Terrific dark back ground. the flames are realistic. Love your techniques. This is super awesome.

Suzanne,
A beautiful painting of the flames licking up the walls of an old wooden shed. Created by your skills for composition choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life .

This is an abstract and therefore any thoughts and emotions this creation awakens in a viewer are not realistic, but metaphors. The creation reminds me of old drift wood or a rotting tree stump. Taking your suggestion of flames into my thoughts, the hottest flames are below, they are so hot that they have lost color and appear white. Some of the wood is braking down while black smoke rising into the air. Some of the wood is still withstanding the fire but cracked. A crustacean or a stone seems trapped in a small hole. I also have a contrary explanation. The fire is dying. The white below is ash while the wood above holds the last of the fire in shades of orange glow.

Very nice and I agree it reminds me of flames and burning embers. I would suggest rotating it 180 degrees, then it would look like the flames are rising up and the wood/embers would be on the bottom.Nice colors and mix of textures. Well seen.

Suzanne, this is completely awesome! As I study this I can see a chunk of wood smoldering, the various tones and textures, really worked out here to create the look of fire ! It's really very pretty to view , I love the orange to yellow to the various gray tones to black and the white, it presents as a beautiful work of art! It's fun to just sit here and study .
