Super creative shot. Love all the tones in the eye...especially the highlights. The up close framing is super cool looking and the angle of the pupil interesting because he is ignoring the viewer. Love it all...Good luck in the contest.

To get that close to an egret it surprising to say the least. To get a photo of the birds eye is amazing. The photo is very clear, and you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is a bird's eye. This photo had some luck and lots of photographic planning. The intent was to get an unusual photo, and the results is very successful.
