It is not difficult to understand why you won this contest With this lovely digital painting Cleo. The butterfly is so life like, and if it had not been for the background, it could almost go for a photo. A background I like very much because of the colors you used and the fine textures. I also like how the light seems to fall on the butterfly and the white Bloom.
I also like very much the delicate and Limited color pallet. The butterfly and the plant is done paying very good attention to details, and you have used high lights in a very effective way.
The format and framing is Perfect, and the butterfly has got a very good placement on the canvas. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. Indeed a beautiful and well done digital painting.

When I first looked at this painting, I thought it was a photo!!! I like that you blurred the background so people would pay more attention to the butterfly, and not a lot to the things behind it. I like the colors that you choose for the wings. The green is a good composition for the white and brown on the wings! Lovely brush strokes too! I think that you did the butterfly perfectly. I see a possible winner here! Great job!!!!!
