As stated by the artist, most of us trace our ancestry back to other countries. Many came in boats just like the one in this picture. The colors are dark but all of the features are very clear.

Challenging genre as this is one of the most difficult condition to capture.

Wonderful initial impression: this is a beautiful work of art! I like the misty air and the motion on the water, the tree line on the right adds further interest as well as texture, nice rocky shoreline , the skip is off in the distance in the fog but it's outline is well seen . I like this, it's well arranged and presented , I like the color tones over this image too!

Very nicely created to capture the mood of the travel across the rough seas. The ship is arriving in a new land with new adventures. The fog, colors and rough waters all create a sense of foreboding. Nicely imagined and created.

I really like the hazy mist that allows the verdant green of the countryside to barely be seen. Your waves are well rendered as are your lights and shadows.the Silhouettes of the trees lead the eye to the fog covered ship in the background.

It is certainly true that unless you are a Native American your ancestors came from another country. A very nice image that hints at that common history we all share.
