Lovely drawing with your marker pens and pen and ink, Sarah. I'm glad you still incorporate your hearts in your compositions. Love the colours you use - the girl with red hair contrasting well with the lilac coloured top. Great illustration for a children's book. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

This is super cute! The red headed girl with purple glasses and a red helmet as she rides her bike is such a perfect work for this time of the year when the kids are all out of school! This is very well created with awesome colors and tones and adorable detail including your signature hearts! I love the bike and the streamers on the handle bars! Wonderful entry for the contest, best to you!

This is so clever and creative. It hits you right away with an impact. The red, purple, blue and beige tones are striking against the off white background. The look on the girls face is priceless. She should be a character in a children's book. Love all the hearts that are sprinkled about in the artwork. This should do well in the contest.

She is grown up, an adolescent now, but I remember Sarah much younger when she was little. She is still cute, has her special smile and red curls and is adored with hearts. She knows about responsibility and apparently knows how to drive her bicycle safely. Her helmet and goggles are protective garments, but on her the look cute. I like the colors and the diagonal perspective especially.

I love the details you put in 5his drawing. Her helmet and goggles are superb. The row of pink hearts across the handlebars tells us she is a girlie girl. Her jewelry and watch and the handlebar tassels are all very feminine. Her ginger hair is a treat. Super entry for the contest. Best of luck.

Excellent choice of subject for the summer comp!

Crisp & clear outlines.
Harmonious colors.
Great story telling factor.
Neat rendition.
Just tad tight on top frame.

Subtle illumination.

I like images of innocence. This is one of them. No political message. No violence. Just a child riding her bicycle for joy. Believe it or not, it was the smile on her face that caught my attention first. Well done.
