The runnels in the sand are amazing. I was brought up close to a sea side town and have watched as the sea goes out and leaves these little rivulets and little creatures hopping about in them and in this case, a boat stranded high and dry!!Amazing photo!

Nik, I really like all the blues presented here.

It's like the ocean just was introduced to the sky and they clicked immediately :)

Your blue boat really stands out well and I love the off center presentation... very nicely done and good luck in the contest!

    my pleasure, Incredible view!

a great entry to the water in nature contest; a potential winner, assuming that the blue cast (which occurs with a cloudy sky) is not too exagerated; (an UV filter would help)
I like the composition and the dof;

Nicely captured and composed shot. I like the loneliness and timelessness of it.
It has a sense of deep time about it that can only be felt by the extreme focus of the viewer. If one contemplated this scene with no distractions you would sense it.
I can smell the salt on the wind from here.
Well done!

An excellently composed study in blue - calming and tranquil.

I love the pattern of the receding tide makes in the sea bed - gnarly light elephant skin.

Well focused with a long DOF.

Colors are varying shade of blue presented as horizontal bands across the capture.

Of course the placement of the boat makes the mood and sets the theme of this most attractive and appealing capture.

Kudos on a grand post ... B-)) Bob

Love this shot! Great light, amazing colours, great detail in the shot. I like the fact that the FG has interest in it. Not taking away from the great shot, but I would be interested in seeing what it would look like with a slightly darker sky? Well done and keep up the great work :-)

I like the blue and silver tones in this image. The pattern in the seabed creates attractive leading lines and the sharp blue of the boat is a nice pop of brightness.

This is a very unique and different type image.
It is sad and lonely. Monochromatic and serene. It is well captured and not your ordinary scene. Nicely framed.
Good contest contender.

After your explanation of the blue cast being a natural part of your photo, then I have to compliment you on a beautiful, tranquil landscape...also the location probably has a different lighting than some parts of the U.S. Very nicely done.

I do take your point about the blue cast being explained in my description! Yes, the cast really was there!!
