Good visual impact and dramatic landscape. I love the vibrant colors from the sunset across the sky and the beautiful reflection on the water. Your brush strokes beautifully created with good blending and shading of color. The initial impact is that sky and the nice movement you have created. Good differentiation and contrast in your work. Quite dramatic. That sunset makes the forest look like it is on fire. Really a vivid rendering with great depth and perspective, natural reflections, and, an artistic composition. Well done and good luck in the contest.

I know you titled this evening in the forest but it appears to me to be a wildfire consuming the forests of the Northwest. The reflections in the water create a soft reflection of the terrifying flames. Even your trees look charred.

Nicely done here. It looks like the forest is aflame with golden light or there is an incoming fire storm.
Either way, it packs quite a punch.
Solid colors and good contrast make this a winner.
