Deborah,
A beautiful picture of your white Dianthus given a golden glow by your tourchlight just a pity you could not post the beautiful scent that fills the air around them! Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Ah a lady who is familiar w/ how good some flowers smell! Wouldn't smell-a-posting be fun Susan? lol I agree for sure. You are very kind to have gone and had a look at this piece and I appreciate your time and lovely review. Thank you so much.

The evening light really adds color variation to your shot. The light gives highlights in all the right places to make the petals really pop. I can't put my finger on it, but something about your shot says "wedding" to me. Wedding...cake...bouquet...dress. I'll have to think on it.

Why hello there Bill! Yes....completely agree w/ the wedding bit....dress, I'd say. I have been surprised at the things this image has elicited.....from marshmallows to faces...to weddings. I am always so pleased to find you've checked out one of my pieces. Thank you so much. Did you get my message Bill?? Have been having trouble w/ my mail and want to make sure you received it.....

I did get your message. I thought I replied...now I'm not so sure.

uh-oh Bill. Maybe you could re-send? Think my messages have finally started working again.

The tones in these dianthus
are so beautiful they remind me of a slightly roasted marshmallow. I love the tans and grays in these white beauties and how vivid they appear taken at night. This photograph has gorgeous depth and texture that really is unusual in white flowers.
The clarity and softness of the petals is excellent and this just has a beautiful natural appeal.

A stunning capture of these white and cream Dianthus.....I had no idea they came in this gorgeous color. You have achieved a good perspective. Perfectly framed and well composed shot. Very well photographed with good light handling and sharp focus rendering good details in your image. You always give the best artists notes....and nice storytelling with your image. Outstanding photography and thanks for sharing!

I'll be posting a new one late Saturday night,Deb!
This one is more of a mythological creature than a straight up Dinosaur but I hope you'll enjoy it! : )
-
Oh good....not too late? I have a gold star hanging around I need to find a place to use it before the week is over...lol
-
I'm afraid I'll be posting my new one a bit too late for this week's 'gold stars',Deb! ( If you feel that my new drawing is even worth Six Stars that is! : ) )
-
oh I love your dinos and your mythological creatures Sean. Maybe I'll just go see what I might have missed somewhere along the way.

Looks nice; the lighting hit me first; good alternating white and beige; nice close up; the foliage looks like a bunch of fans blowing; kind of weird but it also reminds me of cake icing; sort of looks like my bunch that didn't turn color when I tried making them rainbows; great seeing you still taking pics; keep gardening; I know that's one of your loves; take care and stay warm and dry.

Now fans were something I hadn't thought of when I looked at this piece swimmer. Until YOU mentioned them of course.....now I can hardly see them any other way lol You sure come up w/ some interesting interpretations. One of those creative types, aren't you. Do always appreciate you checking out my new pieces and thank you especially for the very wonderful rating you've given this one.

Thank you and you're welcome. They sort of look like the roses I tried transforming into rainbow roses. I did get a bit of red color on the cream colored roses. But, they didn't turn out near the way I expected. I'll try again sometime. Take care.

With food coloring swimmer???
-
Yep, that's what a video said to use. Not sure if it's a hoax or what.
-
Well I know I've seen food coloring out in water and then Queen Ann's Lace popped in and it turns whatever color the water is. Good idea swimmer!
-
What is Queen Anne's Lace?
-
It's a white flower.....lacy looking. They use it in bouquets quite often.

Cool

A fine beautiful image here.
I love the soft tones and lighting. Too bad carnations do not have a better scent (its kind of light and not really super memorable). The glowing petals are quite beautiful. You know, it looks a bit like oyster mushrooms actually.
The flower looks like its laughing at some joke told by a flower off screen actually. The lower petal looks like a hand saying "oh no please...I am laughing to hard already".
At least, with my odd perspective, that is what I see.
Well done!

What a wonderful review Trajan....the way you've described my little flower as the coy lady w/ her hand up ...demurely claiming she has already laughed too hard. It's perfect actually....although I also see the oyster mushrooms.... At any rate, it's a very fun review and I appreciate your ideas.....not 'odd' at all btw. Thank you so much.
