The textures that you created with the effects are lovely and the framing of the rose is attractive. I like the story behind the flower too. The lighter colors in the background add nice depth to the image.

Nice story and well created image. Good color and just enough detail to make the image visible. I have a similar rose in my yard that comes back every year. The red is a little darker. The back ground work nicely for this image. Good job.

Thank you very much for your very encouraging comments. I had the Idea of the painting before my story. I was thinking of another fairy tale but then the story came to me almost in my sleep, just at the time when reality and dream mix when one is going to sleep soon.
