I love the way you have placed the bloom, not quite center, with another one reaching into the frame. It causes our eyes to travel throughout the frame. Your focus is perfect, and the lighting is heavenly.

Lovely closeup of this pretty little Daisy and I like that you included part of another one. Very good lighting and focus showing great detail in its markings. Lovely composition. Suzanne

The best feature of your lovely daisy is, of course, the gold center. I have them growing in my yard now, but never noticed the difference in the texture, as you have so beautifully photographed. Superb focus and depth of colors in the petals.

Meg , it's a very cool piece and I like it .
I must ask you if they smell ?
I have wild Daisy's north of me ... fields of them along the highway and roads . They absolutely stink !
Just curious .
Your piece ... The focus and clarity are spot on , excellent work .
Amazing POV , and it's a very strong candidate for your contest .
The best of luck and thank you for sharing .

This is a wonderful close-up shot of the flower.. You have framed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in in creating a lovely capture. Good effort!

Tis quite a lovely shot. Crystal clear and vibrant colors.
Nice close up to see the wonderful details.
Things to fix/perhaps rethink:
1. Chopping off the bottom of the flower.
2. Leaving the bit of the other flower in the frame.

It almost looks like a single flower with the chopped portion shown to its left like a botanical drawing of sorts.

The dark on the right works well as a backdrop, but then there is a bit of too focused light in the upper left.

It's a nice shot focus wise and lighting, but it a little off balance because of the above.
Do you see what I mean?
Thanks for sharing and keep photographing! You have a great eye!

There are some who call themselves purist and frown upon any part of the flower being 'Clipped' or cropped out - ie the petals at the bottom.

That may be true but in this case that notion is irrelevant. In this case it is not just about the whole flower but more about this magnificent center image. That is what this take is about.

White balance is controlled very well.

Lots of short scale contrast makes for a bright popping central image - well done.

Camera settings are all well established and show a capture of high quality.

I like the framing, the off center positioning is attractive.

Thanks for giving the commoners flower a grand pulpit ... B-)) Bob

like the composition where you have cut off part of the daisy and have another on the side to add depth, very good details and textures and depth have been captured along with great colors, a pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, dale

Quite a grand looking nature shot presented here! Your pretty much full and central composition offers us an enjoyable look at your beautiful bloom. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!
