The dark background does make the flowers really pop. I like how vibrant the flowers are. The yellow, orange, and red colors blend together beautifully. You seem to be very talented with those pastels. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing :)

This is absolutely gorgeous. Calla Lilies are some of my favorite flowers (aside from roses and lotus blossoms). You did an amazing job at the shading and proportions, too. Good luck in the contest :)

Beautiful work, awesome colors just need a bit more work with light and shades, when working with black backgrounds that is key to reach depth in a drawing. But overall it's a beautiful composition

I think you have done the calla lilies in a lovely way, and I so much like the color of them. It was a good idea to have a neutral background for the flowers and leaves to stand out well.
It is easy to see that you have paid good attention to details, and you have also used high lights in a nice way.
The format and framing works well and with the placement of the flowers and lilies on the canvas, it is a good balance in the composition. My only comment is that it would have been better just using three lilies instead of four. It is just like when you make up a bouquet, it is better with odd numbers. Still this is a minor issue, because all together this is well done, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you. I had hoped that having three leaves to create an odd number of elements overall would take care of that issue. I shall know better for next time as it has bugged me ever since I finished it.

I think the artboard makes a beautiful background for this subject. The colors of you flowers look great against the texture and color of the board. I like how nicely you shaped the petals and you are so talented at blending your colors to provide nice detail and light. The design of the leaves is also very attractive.
