Well it looks like I am one of the first to comment on these beauties BB..I love the colors as they almost look painted. The details are great even though they have a very nice soft look to them. The green background suits them perfectly. So I will give my first 6 to this one. So glad you are now getting color back in the gardens. Getting out the flashlight and packing for the midnight sojourns to come. Hope all is well BB ~ BB

awww...you are just a dear BB. Always wonder how a new post will do and you made my morning w/ this wonderful review and extra special ratting. Thank you so much. Funny but the AZALEAS are the one flower I don't often photograph at night....still a bit cool in the evenings....lol boy do I sound like a wimp now or what! Thank you again BB for sharing your first gold star w/ my new piece.

'King and Queen' is an apt description of this royal pair.

All of my Azalea bushes have gone by and now the pink rhodo's have taken center stage.

Excellent color and tonal range. The cool green background highlights and compliments this regal pair.

The central framing provides optimum initial impact for this aristocratic pair.

Camera technique is optimum for focus, exposure and color rendition.

Good work Deb ... OMP

You really are ahead of me season-wise aren't you OMP! My AZALEAS have just now really blossomed. Tried hard to photograph just a single one but this shrub is so loaded w/ blossoms it was impossible. So glad you stopped and had a look at my new piece and thank you so very much for the lovely review you've given my royal pair...lol

From the vernal equinox to the summer solstice we are 2 weeks ahead, from summer solstice to autumnal equinox we are two weeks behind.

I had my salad garden in by Memorial day and I'll shoot my last foliage shot in mid October.

Azalea and Rhododendron are among the hardest blossoms for me to get the way I want them.

I found 2 more flowering shrubs for which I do not know the names of. I will post and see if anyone knows who these guys are ... OMP

I have no issues shooting a 'big picture' type image of my AZALEAS OMP....it is getting the single blossom vantage that I adore that is more difficult. Especially this season....they are loaded. Will look for your shrubs this afternoon or evening....see if I can help.
