Awesome job here. I love this little deer poking his head out. What a great imagination. Love the light coming through. The trees are well done. This really is very well done. I like it a lot.

A beautiful picture of the deer peeping out from behind the trees in the forest. Beautiful composition created by very skilful brushwork beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life.

I love the forest scene, very nicely done in water colour.
I think the dear does look a bit like an afterthought, but it is real looking.

This work is stunningly beautiful! The movement and lighting to me are outstanding. Very well painted and thought out subject. The little deer is so tender and the tress are painted so life like. Well done!

This is really lovely. I love the seer peeking out from the sunlight misty forest.
You are showing the rays of sunshine brilliantly. (no pun intended lol)
The deer looks alert and ready to run as they do in the natural forest.
Your trees look amazing. Really well done! A pleasure to view!

Thank you Monica. I think it?s the water paint that made this piece possible. I?ve always done well with water paint but I always find it dull and the colours kinda drab but it worked with this piece. :)

Beautiful painting! The beams of light sweeping across this painting is absolutely gorgeous. I really like the overall softenss and the deer peeking out from behind the tree was a great addition to this landscape! Great work:)

This is great! Your addition of the deer was a great finishing touch! He stands out from the scene and makes you take notice. I like the way you created the rays of light too. Very cute!

Wonderful initial impression: wow! I immediately am impressed at the forest, the way you created the trees and the lighting is so very realistic, it's a dream of mine to photograph sun light through a forest like this, you have really done an amazing job with this Linda! The deer peeking out from behind the tree is well created and placed perfectly in this scene! I absolutely love this! Very well presented!

Thank you. Does it look washed out on the left?
reply by alaskapat on 11-Jun-2018
Not to me, it looks very realistic, I have seen the forest here appear just like this is sunlight. I love this!

Oh ok. I was told it looks washed out so I thought maybe I should crop it. Thanks

I think that as presented it looks natural, as the sun would shine in from the left, the brightest in the left, I love it! I have seen a scene like this in the forest here and this looks exactly like it!

Cute. It looks as if the deer is looking toward us, trying to find out if we are friendly or dangerous. The white light at left is a bit too bright. I think it would be better when you paint tees there too.
I guess you comment means you painted the picture and then took a photo with you camera to post it. Did you? Maybe that is what caused the bright light and wash out at left.

Yes that?s what I did. I tried three times but couldn?t get a good shot with my phone. Maybe I should crop it out.

    Cropping would work, I think.
