This is beautiful work Daphne. There is a high level of detail in every area - birds, leaves, butterflies, flowers, and even the tree trunks. I will be stepping away from FAR for a while, and I'm happy to give you one of my last remaining 6 stars. Keep up the excellent work!

Your digital painting is an excellent portrayal of a tropical forest or jungle setting. The colors are vivid and yet, at the same time soft. The birds in flight are well detailed and colorful. TH flowers are brilliantly colored. Overall, very realistic.

I am actually a photographer and know little about other art, but I was really drawn to this. I have previously always skipped reviewing this kind of work. I love the happy pastel colors in nice balance and the life that the scene represents. It is so pleasant to look at, and I think you would be a great artist for a children's book. Great entry!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and so sorry for being slow to respond. Yes, well other digital artists don't even know how I do mine it seems. This may be due to the fact that I am trying to do representational art that I would normally do by hand except that I had some injuries to my wrists and hands. I do most everything by hand without the fancy functions, just with a pencil tool and colors. The thing is that you can go back and correct mistakes digitally that you cannot correct so easily in normal art forms.... Thanks again for your thoughtful review!

Lovely artwork which is well balanced with the vines coming down from between the tree trunks. Colors are probably a little muted for jungle color but I love the birds and butterflies interacting with the vegetation.

I am very sorry about you not making it into the contest. I feel you have done a very good job here. I like the pastels in the background and the lighter shade of green throughout most of the piece. It really helps the reds and blues to pop!
