Nicely done here Linda! I like the cubist style and how you formulated planes of color.
Very well done.
Artist notes are good as well.
I love the upper left especially, with the sun and her crown.
Well done!

For your first attempt at the cubist style, I think you did quite well. Cubism isn't normally my favorite style but I think you did a great job here. I like that I can tell what the image is supposed to be, which for me it is usually the opposite in cubist work. I like the bright colors that you have used and the different triangular shapes add even more interest. I think I remember reading about Nefertiti in one of my art history classes so the subject is quite interesting. Well done and thanks for sharing this creative piece with us. :)

I L love this !It is such an enjoyable piece to view . I also love how you indicated the light source with one circle amidst all the triangular shapes. I also love how you did the eyes . The figure seems centered but it is barely noticeable as my eye travels around taking it all in. The thin black lines and different colors give it a sense of movement

This is so well done Linda. I see where it placed in the contest. And deservedly so. The various triangles give a special Egyptian quality which accents this ancient Queen. Very well done Linda ~ Steve

This is amazing and I love it! Great choice for a subject. I had to refresh myself on what cubist influenced art was. I have to say your portrait of Neferiti is spot on. Superb!

Wow! This is an absolutely wonderful painting. I love how you used a cubist style and your use of hue/shade. Nefertiti was always one of my favorite Egyptian queens and you captured her beautifully. Good luck in the contest :)

Nice. I personally love the cubist style and love that you broke the rules and tried to adapt it to work for you. It works well. Like the pyramid behind her. Only suggestion I can think of would be to add some gold to headdress and necklace but probably a taste choice. Well done.

I thought of that and did use a gold pastel but it was not quite as gold as I wanted. I was afraid that gold leF might be too bright.

You can always try it digitally and then see if you want to add to the painting. Just an idea. The colours you have also work really well and as i?ve Said before my problem is knowing when to stop!

LOL. Unfortunately I do not know anything about digitally modifying an image except how to crop.
