Not only does your granddaughter Stella have beautiful deep brown eyes but they are accompanied by a splendid sweet smile that makes you want to cuddle her and keep her safe from every harshness. Her soft ringlets are attractive even when damp. May God bless her and keep her forever.

They are growing up so fast, aren't they Fred ? Stella is such a cute little girl, and she has the most lovely smile, and just like all kids, she loves water and bathing. Good idea to take the photo like this, because the tub offers such a nice and neutral background.
The photo could probably have been even sharper, and the motion blur from the hand is a slight distraction, but the exposure is perfect.
My suggestion is to crop the bottom of the photo to get rid of the hand, and perhaps also sharpen the photo a bit. I actually think this portrait would be even better if you did. It is a lovely and all together well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

She surely enjoys playing with the water. Her expression and smile are captivating. I like that she seems unaware of the camera but is concentrating on something what makes her looking to something above. The tight framing works. It shows us her emotions and what she is doing without any distracting background.
